I called this dish – Instant Fried Rice (like instant noodles – my fav Mee Goreng). It takes up about the same time to prepare instant noodle (yes I did timed it)
Obviously you will need overnight rice or cold rice on hand, take frozen pea out of the fridge rinse it with water then set it aside. the good thing in using tomato sauce is you will not need to add much seasoning not even soya sauce.
Give this recipe a go, let me know how long you take to cook the so-called Instant Fried Rice
by the way if you dont like pea, you can replace it with frozen carrot or corn.

Tomato Sauce Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 bowl rice
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup frozen pea (slightly thawed)
- 1.5 tbsp tomato sauce
- pinch of salt, sugar and pepper
Preparations
- Heat up nonstick wok, turn to high heat, add oil in then crack an egg in. leave it for 10 second before you stir it, when the egg is 7/8 set add pea in, stir for 30 second and you can add rice in. when stirring rice, do not smash them down continue stirring for 1-2 minute.
- when rice , egg and pea mix evenly, you can start adding tomato sauce in. make sure tomato sauce coat evenly on the rice. stir for another minute or so. Add pinch of salt sugar and pepper. Turn off heat and serve. garnish with coriander if available.

Yeah i did that as well sometimes. I will put Chilli sauce abc brand too & Tomato Sauce..Double the redness to the fry rice hahahaha…
